jOB DESCRIPTION

The role in the Shipbuilding and Ship Machinery Industry involves the design, construction, installation, and maintenance of ships and their mechanical systems. Responsibilities include assembling ship structures, installing engines, propulsion systems, and other essential machinery, as well as ensuring that all components meet safety and quality standards. The candidate will also troubleshoot and repair ship machinery, working closely with engineers and other specialists to ensure optimal performance of vessels. A strong understanding of marine engineering principles, blueprint reading, welding, and metalworking is required. The role demands attention to detail, adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Experience with large-scale projects and knowledge of international maritime standards are highly valued.

Preferred qualifications

  • With a valid Philippine Passport (at least 3 years);
  • Motivated to work in Japan for at least 3-5 years;
  • Mentally, emotionally and physically fit;
  • With 1-year work experience on the job applying for;
  • Willing to undergo Nihongo Basic Language Training for at least 320 hours;
  • If with Tattoo/s (employer’s discretion); and
  • Complete documentary requirements.
